Privacy – IYAMBAE Converter

In short: IYAMBAE Converter does not collect any data about you. The Converter itself does not open any internet connection. Only for the trial and the purchase does macOS check with the App Store. It has no account, doesn't track anything and contains no ads.

What stays on your Mac

• Your music. The Converter only reads and writes in folders you choose yourself. The retuned tracks, the backup of your originals, reports and playlists are placed there. None of it leaves your Mac.
• Your settings, such as the chosen folders and the target tuning. They are stored in the app's settings on your Mac.
• The trial. For this, the Converter stores in your Mac's keychain when the trial began and the latest date it has seen. This keeps the trial from being restarted by reinstalling or turning back the clock. The entry remains after the app is deleted. You can delete it in Keychain Access under "fm.iyambae.converter". It does not leave your Mac.
• Only for the version from our own website: it reads, on your Mac, where Apple Music keeps your library, to suggest it as a folder. This too stays on your Mac.

Purchase in the App Store

Apple handles the trial and the purchase under its own responsibility (in the EU, Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland). Apple's privacy policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Only the app on your Mac learns whether a purchase exists. In App Store Connect we see sales figures without names only, such as country and date. If you have turned on "Share with App Developers" in System Settings, Apple passes crash reports and usage statistics to us without names.

If you write to us

If you write to us, we process your address and your message in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for questions about a purchase, otherwise (f)). We delete them once the matter is settled, unless a statutory retention period applies. The mailbox is operated by Rackspace.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and objection (Art. 21). Through the app we hold no data about you; if you write to us, it concerns your message. Write to info@iyambae.fm. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority; the competent one is the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (TLfDI), Häßlerstraße 8, 99096 Erfurt, Germany.
